Leverage GIS Technology to Improve Processes and Reliability

In 2010, Williams’ Midstream unit established a strategic focus on GIS to leverage GIS technology to improve processes and reliability. A key objective in this strategy is to expand the capabilities across the enterprise for viewing, exploring and analyzing the varied structured or unstructured spatial information. For Williams, Google Earth Enterprise is an effective tool for many different roles across the organization to make daily decisions.

Speaker Biography

Cameron is the supervisor of GIS for Williams Midstream in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a focus on expanding the role of GIS technology and processes in the organization. He has 15+ years of experience in the information technology and GIS fields. Cameron joined Williams in 1998 where he has held various leadership positions in Williams Information Technology supporting the Midstream and Gas Pipes business units. Prior to joining Williams Cameron worked as a systems engineer for Intermountain Health Care in Salt Lake City, Utah.
